Here's what's got us talking this week...
Jacquemus Immersive Paris Pop-Up
Located in iconic Galeries Lafayette Paris, the new Jacquemus immersive pop-up draws from the brand’s distinctive aesthetic to create an experiential shopping space for visitors to explore. The pop-up comprises a series of immersive installations, including a giant toaster, washing machine and a walk-in 'LE CHIQUITO' bag, alongside a photo booth, flower store and coffee shop. These striking visual attractions enable visitors to experience the brand in its most tactile form.
Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS
At Paris Fashion Week, Cecilie Bahnsen presented another collaboration with ASICS during their Fall/Winter 23 collection. Last season, Cecilie Bahnsen and ASICS produced seven collaborative takes on the sportswear brand’s GEL-1090, GEL-1130 and GEL-NIMBUS silhouettes, each customised with shimmering floral embellishments and pearly touches. The latest edition of the partnership features two new colourways of the upcycled ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9 running sneaker reinvigorated with a vibrant pink and light yellow, alongside two new iterations in monochrome black and silver/white colourways.
eBay Sneaker Swap Shop in London
Online marketplace eBay is opening a pop-up in London where people can exchange their unused sneakers, free of charge, for a more coveted pair. The pop-up will be a ticketed event and intends to tap into “a behaviour intrinsic to the sneaker community – swapping." It will offer the opportunity for customers to bring in their pre-loved sneakers and exchange them for shoes up to triple their value, as all attendees can trade in for a pair of sneakers worth at least £100 but no more than £300.
Carhartt Launches Resale and Trade-In Programme
Carhartt has launched a resale and trade-in programme in partnership with Trove to extend the life of its products. The Carhartt Reworked programme will be the first branded resale platform for the workwear industry. It marks a brand shift towards a more sustainable future, producing "a circular re-commerce model that extends the life of its durable gear and reduces clothing waste". The programme is an extension of the brand’s commitment to delivering durability and reliability while reducing its environmental footprint.
Casablanca x Caviar Kaspia
Luxury eatery Caviar Kaspia has teamed up with luxury fashion brand Casablanca to produce a 10-piece capsule collection of ready-to-wear and accessories, as well as a co-branded tin of caviar. The range is named the ‘Casa Kaspia’ and features Casablanca’s signature silk shirts with prints of hand-painted visages inspired by the historic iconography, mosaics and branding of the Caviar Kaspia restaurants. Caviar Kaspia is a favourite for Creative Director, Charaf Taier, as the restaurant unites fine dining and the fashion community.
